I dreamed of this breakfast all Friday. Upon leaving work at 5:30 on the dot, I bought a french batard at Weaver Street Market, knowing I'd need it in the morning. I got up Saturday, toasted some bread slices on the griddle pan (we still don't have a toaster oven), and slathered on some lemon curd. Sweet crunchy bread served with a big slice of melon -- this was the breakfast of my dreams.
